The History of Food Allergy (click here) - This is probably the most mind bending,
thought provoking piece of medical history given our present day views and
conversations about food allergies.  I never set out to research food allergies per se.  I
set out to research the highly effective allergy treatment that my then 20-month-old
daughter was receiving which I had been told was “experimental and/or
investigational”.  I didn’t have much time to be running to the local medical library, so
when I did get a few hours at the medical library I had to copy what articles I could
find on the allergy treatment.  Several of the articles that I copied had references to
historical facts and figures regarding food allergies which I found absolutely
astonishing.  I would venture a guess that you will also find this brief five page look at
the past to be shocking.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) About Allergy (click here) - The Allergy FAQ answers in
detail the most frequently asked questions about allergies.  This FAQ is based on
detailed medical research and the answers to the questions may surprise you!
Helpful Tips for Getting HMO’s to Cover Your Health Issues (click here) - This document is
based on plenty of research and personal experience.  Most consumers do not realize
that if they appeal their HMO or health insurance company’s denial of a service or
treatment that nearly 48% of the time they will get an approval.  The numbers improve
if you keep appealing.  The following document is designed to give you helpful tips
and guidelines to help you be more successful in getting health insurance coverage
for treatments or services.
Medical Support for Delayed Allergy Testing and Treatment (Non-IgE) (click here) - This
document is a three page list of 33 references that medically support the effectiveness
and safety of delayed allergy testing and treatment (non-IgE).  There are several
names for the allergy testing and treatment of non-IgE mediated allergies and they
include :  intradermal neutralization testing, intracutaneous provocative food testing
(IPFT), provocation-neutralization treatment, provocation-neutralization testing (P/N),
provocative food test, as well as symptom-provoking and relieving food test.  There are
several hundred studies proving that the treatment for non-IgE mediated allergies is
both safe and effective.  In fact, there are 172 studies on the oral (sublingual)
application of this modality alone!  And the sublingual application is by far the
smallest application of the treatment.  The purpose of this document is for use in
submission in getting health insurance coverage.  For purposes of obtaining health
insurance coverage, you need only cite the studies.  You are not required to provide
copies of the studies.
